Create your own Do Something New Practice 
with your own criteria and plan

Start where you are comfortable- you may want to try and do something new once a day, a week or a month.  You are the one developing the plan and it should be fun and simple.

My Do Something New Practice has remained the same since I wrote it on July 8, 2011.  Yours can change and grow as you develop it.  

Some things I have learned are:

  • Be kind to yourself and do what is fun and possible.
  • Do what gives you joy.
  • Keep it simple.
  • Stay in the moment 
  • Decide if you want to do it daily, weekly or monthly—it is up to you!
  • Commit to documentation—I keep a log of notes on my iPhone and take hundreds of photos
